MAJOR MISSING

BELIEVED TO BE PRISONER (Ity Telegraph.— Press Association) WELLINGTON, Monday Private advice has been received in Wellington that Major Robin Quentin Featherston Johnston, who was second in command of a battalion of the Durham Light Infantry, has been reported missing and believed to be a prisoner of war. Major Johnston is the son of Mr Justice and Mrs Johnston. He was educated at Wanganui College. Shortly after the last war he went to Sandhurst and obtained a commission in the Durham Light Infantry. He served with the regiment in peacetime in China and Egypt. He married in England and his wife and small daughter are now in Wellington.
