FEW BUILDINGS ESCAPE AUSTRALIAN TOWN’S ORDEAL RECORD RUN OF HEAT (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received March 4, 3.15 p.m.) PERTH, March 4 Few buildings escaped damage ; when a cyclone struck Marble Bar. A number of buildings were razed 1 and many were partly unroofed. ! Several people lost all they hacl. j It is estimated that 16 inches of j rain fell in 28 hours. The cyclone followed Marble Bar’s record run of 135 consecutive days with temperatures of 100 degrees or more.
