MILITARY CEREMONIAL AT CAMBRIDGE CAMP KING’S BIRTHDAY SPORTS (Special to Times) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday The King’s birthday was fully honoured at the Cambridge Camp of the Ist Battalion, 16th Waikato Regiment. There was a large attendance at the racecourse in the morning when, with full military ceremonial, the trooping of the regimental colours took place at 11 o’clock. The regimental band played for the ceremony and a good representation of the Cambridge unit of the Home Guard was present. In the afternoon there was an even larger attendance of civilians when regimental sports were held. On Sunday morning military divine service was held at 10.30. At the invitation of the camp commandant, Lieutenant-Colonel Mackersey. the Home Guard attended in full strength. The service was impressively conducted by Chaplain-Major Jeffery.
