FURTHER REMAND

ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE (By Telegraph ». <sn«'latlon) DUNEDIN, Tuesday William Meehan, aged 42, charged with attempting at Oamaru on October 13 to murder Harry Frederick McAuley, was further remanded to appear at Oomaru on December 10. The charge arose out of an alleged shooting affray when a meeting convened by Jehovah’s Witnesses was being conducted. It is alleged that one member of the sect was shot and another wounded by a bayonet.
