OBITUARY

MR A. W. VINCENT The death has occurred in Hamilton of Mr Arthur William Vincent, aged 79, a pioneer settler of the Putaruru district. Mr Vincent was born in Australia and came to New Zealand with his parents when he was less than one year old. In his youth he was engaged in contracting work and first went to the Putaruru district when he assisted in the building of bridges on the railway line between Morrinsville and Rotorua. He went to the South Island and returned in 1913 to take up farming at Lichfield, Putaruru. Mr Vincent is survived by one son and two daughters.
