WATERS ABATE [ WEST COAST DOWNPOUR ’ (By Telegraph.—Press Association) ! GREYMOUTH. Friday An abatement early this morning following 5.24 in of rain in less than 48 hours allayed fears of the Grey River rising over its banks and flooding the business area of the town. 5 At 11.44 a.m., high water, the ; river was still about Ift off the top - of the wharf and the danger hour - passed without the expected flood.
