ADVICE TO SELL

TRUCKS ON PUBLIC WORKS (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) NAPIER, Friday Intimation that with the gradual elimination of public works, it would be necessary to cancel the licenses of a number of carriers, was given by Mr J. P. Skoglund, No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority. He added that the whole position was likely to be reviewed next March. “ The Government will be in the market presently for a large number of trucks and those who have licenses for public works will have an opportunity of disposing of their trucks to the Government,” said Mr Skoglund. “ If and when this opportunity comes, my advice is to sell, and sell quickly, for contractors must know, as well as I do, that with less public works going on there will be less need for the trucks.”
