LODGE MEETING

HAMILTON ODDFELLOWS | There was a good attendance of members at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hamilton Lodge of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows on Thursday night. An interesting lec- ! ture on the Unity’s emblem was given by the secretary, Mr T. W. Thompson. who traced the history of the Hamilton Lodge since its inception i 37 years ago. Of the 24 members ; who joined on the night othe lodge I was opened live were still benefit j members. It was also mentioned that J 50 members of the Hamilton Lodge I took part in the Great War, while so far 20 members had gone overseas in the present conflict. Afterward a closely contested quoits tournament was won by the secretary’s team.
