Peter Pan’s Letter

T~)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS — Just imagine, we have had a few days of really summer weather, and isn’t the golden sun lovely after those hurried visits of Mr Rain? The Sunshine Girl is waiting very excitedly for her very first week of sunshine, ’cause fche said, she was so very tired of the rainbroken flowers. And aren’t the gardens beautiful, too? for my Lady Spring has changed her gown of scarlet and gold for one of soft lavender, and everywhere Peter goes he finds some of the loveliest scented wisteria hanging in pale mauve spray's and it looks so pretty amongst its green leaves. Then there are masses of pale mauve and white lilac blooming everywhere, and the air is filled with the loveliest perfumes after the rain.

Then, too, there are deep purple flag lilies, with their stiff stalks and their very green leaves standing beside a deep red brick wall and looking like fairy soldiers on parade. No-one has promised Peter a “ really - and - truly ” summer garden very soon now—for the fairy-people have been telling him their “ very special ” secrets, and now the Circle People are waiting very impatiently. With lots of love and jolly days. From your very own,

<p.~ Q
