DRIVING SCHOOLS
RESULTS OF AMERICAN SC HEME Safety Driving schools in Columbia and Orangeburg, operated through the co-operation of the South Carolina State highway patrol, the Columbia police department, and the WPA, are proving their value and general practicability by genuine results produced, states the Christian Science Monitor. Their development represents one of the most popular and fruitful safety enterprises ever attempted in this State. Columbia’s school is now training its second class of students, comprising 50 persons who are interested in learning to drive properly and with full knowledge of the traffic rules of Columbia and of South Carolina. Although the present class is restricted to 50 persons, 125 persons were on file seeking admittance. A new class will be formed when the present group completes its training about June 1. All future classes will be limited to 50 persons, as was done in the second group.
