Copyright) LONDON, Oct. 17 The latest Bank of England returns are:— Issue department—Notes in circulation £597,700,000, notes in the banking department £325,000,000, other Government securities £615,900,000, other securities £3,100,000, silver coin nil. Banking department —Rest £3,100,000. public deposits £19.900,000, bankers’ deposits £109,100,000, other accounts £52,200.000, Government securities £138.900.000, discounts and advances £5,100.000, other securities £21,600,000, notes and coin £32.900.000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities, 18.18 per cent. The Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at two per cent.
