The United Slates is now training certain infantrymen as parachutists to establish later a “Parachutists Corps.” The soldiers, now learning all the tricks of how to jump and land safety. are to form the nucleus of a drive by the U .S. Army to adopt the European method of transporting troops by parachutes. The training is under the supervision of MajorGeneral George A. Lynch, Chief of Infantry in Washington. The parachutist is released from a suspension ring attached to a steel arm during practice jumps.
