MONTH LONGER

SHOWGROUNDS CAMP ABSENCE DURING SHOW The information that the military authorities required the Claudelands Showgrounds for a further month was given to a meeting of the general committee of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association today by the secretary, Mr W. L. Ranstead. The soldiers would be vacating the grounds during the summer show on November 1 and 2, said Mr Ranstead, leaving the grounds on the Tuesday before the show. He understood the men would be taking part in field exercises at Te Awamutu during the short time they would be away from Claudelands. A small committee was appointed to confer with the camp commandant, Major F. M. Yen dell, in regard to the storage of military gear during the time the men would be away from camp.
