ST. PAI L’S LADIES’ GUILD
St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild met for its monthly meeting recently, when the parlour was beautifully decorated with pink and mauve flow- | ers. The president, Mrs D. Brad- | ley, welcomed a good attendance of I members and friends, and opened the meeting with a hymn. Scripture reading and prayer, j Guild business was discussed, and ; reference was made to the approach - | ing birthday of the oldest member, | Mrs Pope, who will celebrate her j eighty-fifth birthday this month by i flying to Australia. Another memI ber, Mrs Sofield, who is about to j leave Hamilton, was extended the ; best wishes of the guild for hapj piness in her new home in Westj port. I After the serving of a delicious i afternoon tea by Mesdames Hutt, j Scott, Wheeler and Batv. the Rev. | H. J. Odell gave a most interesting i talk on his travels in North AuckI land, while on deputation work for ! Home Missions.
