OPENING DAY
OHAUPO CROQUET CLUB Ideal weather prevailed for the : .opening of the Ohaupo Croquet Club I on Saturday. The president, Mrs J. 1 Graham, welcomed the visitors and j members, and after declaring the i courts open, played the first ball. Visiting clubs were represented as ; follows: —Te Awamutu, Mesdames Ryan, Zohrab. Nelson, Rainey, An- i gus, Warner; Hamilton, Mrs Forsythe ! and JVliss Storey; Ngahinapouri. Mes- ; dames, N. Reid, McGregor and Me- | Callum; Pukeatua, Mrs Graff. j Those present were:—Mesdames ! W. Somerville. E. J. Edwards, J. j Jenkinson, Geo. Carter, C. K. Ed- | wards. Douch, P. Bell. Misses W. Tarr, Lesley Edwards, | Patricia Edwards, Betty Field, Joan i England (Auckland), Olive Edwards, j The competition prize-winners j were Mesdames Ryan, Angus and I Nelson. i
