Chosen As Guard

The honour of being chosen as one of the Special Guard at Aldershot when the King inspected the Command fell to Gunner M. A. Roberts, of Hamilton, who is in England with the Second Echelon. His father. Mr R. Roberts, of Hamilton, was a member of the Fire Brigade Guard when the King visited Hamilton as the Duke of York in 1927.
