BANANA CHEESE CAKES I 2oz butter, 2 tablespoons castor sugar, 1 egg yolk, 4 bananas, 2 teaspoon baking powder. Short pastry. Beat butter and sugar to a cream then beat well with the j egg yolk. Peel and mash ban- : anas" to a pulp, and stir into mixture, together with the baki ing powder. Beat all well together. Line some patty pans i with thinly-rolled short pastry, and fill each with the banana mixture. Bake in quick oven until pastry is brown. These j are nice served hot or cold, with j a little whipped and sweetened - cream.
