Saturday The following prices were realised at the city markets:— Poultry.—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 5s to 6s each: not prime, 3s 6d to 4s 6d: light breeds, prime. 4s to ss: not prime, 2s to 3s: fat hens, heavy breeds. 4s to ss: light breeds, 3s to 4s: drakes, young, prime. 4s 6d to ss: ducks, young. 3s to 4s: dayold chicks. Black Orpington. 2d; Leghorn. unsaleable. Eggs and Butter.—Eggs: Hen and duck, standard grade, Is 6id a dozen. Farmers’ butter, Is to Is 3d per lb.
