VISITING JURIST’S OPINION WILLKIE’S DEFEAT PREDICTED (By Teleeranli.- -Prp« Assnrfationi WELLINGTON, Monday A vast change in the attitude of the United States towards Britain and the war would be the outcome if the Republican candidate, Mr Willkie, defeated Mr Roosevelt for the Presidency, according to Judge Jesse Olney, formerly a presiding judge of the Californian Courts, who is visiting Wellington. The interests represented by Mr Willkie, Judge Olney said, would, he believed, seek a quick peace and a rapprochment with Germany. “I thing, however, that Mr Willkie will be as badly defeated as Governor Landon was four years ago,” he said.
