LONDON NEWSPAPER OFFICES EMPLOYEES’ NARROW ESCAPE MR CHURCHILL'S MESSAGE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Oct. 12 A heavy bomb struck the Times newspaper office during a recent raid, but did not interrupt production. The Prime Minister, Mr Churchill, sent a personal message of congratulations to the Times on its success in producing editions without interruption or delay and with no evidence whatever of the explosion or its consequences. The Daily Express is another newspaper whose premises have suffered recently from night bombing. A bomb on Friday night directly hit a newspaper office in a southeast town. Fourteen persons, including five women and six children had a remarkable escape. The editor and his wife were covered witn debris and wrecked furniture, but both were unhurt. Italian planes raided Aden for the eighteenth time since the outbreak of the war. There were no casualties and no damage.
