HIGHER ADMISSION PRICES BIG ENTERTAINMENT TAX Cinema seats will cost more after October 6, says a London paper. The British Government wants an extra £4,000,000 on the entertainment tax already paid by cinema-goers; that will make in all £9,000,000 per annum.

Prices of admission will generally be:— In London suburbs and “first-run” provincial towns: 9d to 2s 6d. In other country cinemas (where the present prices are 6d, 9d, and Is): Bd, Is ,and Is 2d.
