FINES TOTAL £350 (By Telrr -’- •••uion< WELLINGTON, Friday It was Chinese national day yesterday and premises in Haining Street were raided in the early hours of this morning, with the result that in the Magistrate’s Court today one Chinese was fine £SO for permitting his premises to be used for smoking opium. A dozen others were each fined £25 for being unlawfully on the premises.
