ARGENTINA’S DEBTS
PROPOSAL TO BRITAIN MAIZE, WHEAT AND MEAT HUGE SUM INVOLVED (United Pre*« Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 10 It is semi-offlcially stated that Argentina has made a proposal to Britain involving the delivery of Argentine products valued at 100,000,000 to 160,000,000 dollars, payment for which would be applied to the cancellation of Argentina’s foreign debt. The products include maize, wheat and meat, much of which is surplus owing to the absence of European markets. -
