AMATEUR ATHLETICS
THE HAMILTON CLUB OPENING TOMORROW The Hamilton Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club will open its 1940-41 season at Hinemoa Park tomorrow when a club scratch meeting will be held, commencing at 2 p.m. New members and members of other clubs will be welcomed. The club is this season paying special attention to school children’s events and four of these, possibly more, will be included each week. The order of events for the opening day is as follows:—soyds schoolboys (under 14), 50yds schoolgirls (under 14), 50yds schoolboys (under 16), 50yds schoolgirls (under 16), 50yds women, 50yds junior, 50yds senior, men’s shot putt, women’s broad jump, men’s 120yds low hurdles, pole vault, women’s 90yds hurdles, 440yds walk, men’s broad jump, women’s discus, 880yds open, 880yds junior.
