BRITISH WOOL TO BE HELD IN AMERICA LONDON, Oct. 10 Arrangements are being made by agreement between the British and United States Governments for a reserve of wool to be held by the British Government in the United States. It is officially stated that this wool will be available for purchase by the United States in the event of an emergency arising necessitating its use in that country. The reserve, at the request of the United States Government, will consist of £250,000,000 of wool from the Australian clip, the whole of which, as already known, has been purchased by the British Government. TATE OF PILOT KILLED IN OPERATIONS THAMES, Friday fdvice was received to-day by Mr A. H. Hadley that his son, Pilot-Officer Ronald Arnold Hadley, aged 20. was killed in air operations with the Royal Air Force. Born in Mastcrton, PilotOfficer Hadley was trained at Wigram and left for England early this year. His brother, p, lot-officer T. H. Hadley, la now a prisoner of war in Germany.
