Tmui/a i i The Waitoa Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild held a successful bring-and-buy afternoon recently in the local hail, the proceeds being in aid of church funds, which will benefit by £l4. In the absence of the Rev. J. Haslop, the president of the guild, Mrs J. Lynch, opened the proceedings. The well-laden stalls were in j charge of Mesdames R. Malcolm, A. i Holland, W. Craig. A. Johnston, H. I Blomfield, J. Lynch and H. O. Cooper Jnr. During the afternoon items were j given by Mrs H. O. Cooper and Miss . P. Luxton. accompanied by Mrs H. j Blomfield.
