Constable D. C. Stobie has been transferred to Hamilton from Christchurch.
The Rev. H. H. Jeffreys, of Birkenhead, Auckland, has been appointed chaplain to the Ist Battalion, Waikato Regiment, which encamps at Cambridge today.
Messrs E. S. Menner (Wellington), W. R. Bristow (Hunterville), C. Gomer, P. H. Shaw (Hawera) and M. O. Nisbet (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr F. G. Nind, Chief Postmaster at Wellington, retired on superannuation yesterday after 41 years’ service. He will be succeeded by Mr F. W. Matthews, who has been his deputy for the past six years.
Dr. Hugh Keith, who recently or- j rived in New Zealand from India, has ! been appointed resident medical j officer at the No. 2 elementary fly- ; ing training school at Bell Block, New Plymouth.
