PAEROA RACES CONCLUDE PRESIDENT’S TO TE KAWITI I CILLAS AND SMALL BOY WIN GOLD SPOT AT GOOD ODDS (By Telegraph.—special to Time*) PAEROA, Monday For the concluding day of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s Spring Meeting at Paeroa to-day the weather was fine and there was a good attendance for an off day. Securing a better run than on opening day, Clllas made amends by exiling through tn the straight to win Handsomely from Hunter’s Night, with Paymaster, who had attempted an end to end success, only a neck aw-ay. Hunter’s Night showed out from Cillas, Paymaster and Miss Valerie over the first furlong, paymaster hit the front along the back, showing out here from Clllas, Hunter’s Night, Miss Valerie. Te Haka and Hying Eagle. Paymaster was still clear across the top and he led Into the straight several lengths out ifrom Clllas, Te Haka, Miss Valerie, Hunter’s Night and Flying Eagle. Clllas asserted himself in the straight and he went on to win nicely by one and a-quante" lengths from Hunter’s Night who Peat Paymaster by a neck. The public was well on the mark again when Small Roy. after hitting the Tront at the first rence, earned on to win handsomely. King Mu*>k gave another convincing performance but Day Wind, who shot to the front from the outset, pecked badly at the first rence and ran abou 1 at the majority of the others. Once over the first rence Small Boy ran past Day Wind and as they came past the stands he was showing out from King Musk, Day Wind, Loomlnation, Inness Lad, Little Ruse and Allmetic. There waa no alteration along the back, Small Boy being clear at the half-mile post from King Musk, Little Ruse, Inness I-*d, Loom-bina-tlon and Day Wind. Small Boy came Into the straight by one and a-hair lengths clear of King Musk, and went on to beat him by five lengths with Little Ruae three lengths away third. Gold Spot moved up on Lord Waltangl hair a furlong rurther on and actually headed the favourite across the top, leading into the straight from Lord Waltangl, Midland, Joan Peel and Forest Acre, in a good Ilnlsh Gold Spot held on to beat l.ord iWalt-angi by half a length, with llackenschmidt one and a-half lengths away.
