CHARGE OF MURDER INCIDENT AT MANANUI (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday His first appearance in the Police Court since he was remanded after his arrest was made today in Auckland by Charles Harold Longley. He was charged that at Mananui, near Taumarunui, on September 22, he murdered Jeremiah O’Sullivan. On the application of the police Longley was remanded to appear at Taumarunui on October 7. Longley was detained by the police after the death of Mr Jeremiah O’Sullivan, aged 50, owner of a cottage occupied by the Longley family. He visited the cottage after r/r had notified the tenant to vacate, and while there met his death. A bullet from a .22 rifle entered his right eye.
