FOOTBALLER BREAKS LEG YOUTH THROWN FROM HORSE A miner of Glen Massey, Albert Griffiths, aged 25, married, received a broken leg while playing in the senior Soccer match at Seddon Park on Saturday. He was removed to the Waikato Hospital in a St. John Ambulance.

A Te Pahu farm hand, Edward William Thomas, aged 15, suffered head injuries necessitating his removal to the Waikato Hospital yesterday through being thrown from a horse at the farm on which he was employed. He is in a satisfactory condition.
