TAUPIRI BRANCH

PLUNKET SOCIETY The Taupiri branch of the Plunket Society held its “annual fair” in the Taupiri Hall on Thursday. As a result of the keen business done at the various stalls, the funds will benefit considerably. Competitions also added to the funds and a photographic competition caused much excitment. This was won by Kevin Crampton, under one year, and Diana RiddeJl (under nine months). The stallholders were as follows: —Produce, Mrs T. McDowall and Mrs A. L. Button; cakes, Mrs W. Moore and Mrs L. Foley; sewing. Mrs D. Rogers and Mrs H. Riddell; afternoon tea. Mesdames J. D. Bruce, G. Wilson, F. Wilson, senr., A. Braddock and Misses June Lovell and Ena Button; doorkeepers, Mrs S. A. Clarke, and Mrs T. Reekie; competitions, Mrs L. Powell, Mrs D. Welch and Miss M. Thompson.
