BIRTHDAY PARTY

ATTAINMENT OF MAJORITY A large number of friends and relatives recently gathered at “Ranui,” the home of Mr and Mrs De’Ath to wish “many happy returns” to their daughter, Phyllis, who had attained her majority. Dancing was enjoyed in the spacious drawing room, the music being supplied by Mrs Silcock and Messrs N. Allen and N. Gilmour. Several competitions were held and later in the evening a delicious supper was served. The toast of the evening was proposed by Mr F. Harris. Mr De’Ath replied and handed the traditional key to his daughter. Miss De’Ath returned thanks for the good wishes and for the many beautiful gifts.
