CLINCH - MAXAM

KEEN RACING AT PAEROA VOLIFOX AT GOOD ODDS The success of Clinch in the Poland Cup and that of Maxam in the open sprint were features of Saturday s racing at Paeroa when a large crowd witnessed racing of a highly interesting standard. Several surprises were recorded, the biggest of the* day being in the opening event when the little-fancied Forest Bridge returned over three score on the win machine and double figures for a place. Gar Vaals was at doublefigure odds for a meritorious success in the Maramarua Steeplechase, while the achievement of Volifox in the concluding event netted her supporters a return of close on a score straight-out.
