BATTALION ON PARADE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Saturday Proudly exercising their right to carry fixed bayonets, the first Battalion, Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own) impressively marched through the City today;, giving evidence to the crowds which lined the streets of the fine results achieved by their three month’s intensive training at the Epsom Showground. The Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, took the salute and later congratulated officers and men on their soldierly bearing.
