EXEMPTION GIVEN
GENERAL WAGES ORDER AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Saturday In a judgment delivered by Mr Justice Tyndall the Arbitration Court today granted an application by the Auckland Transport Board for exemption from the general order of 5 per cent wages increase to employees. Exemption was granted to the board because of the bonus of 8 per cent granted by the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr S. Ritchie, prior to issue by the Arbitration Court of the general order. In another judgment the Hospita! Board's application for exemption from the general order was refused by the Arbitration Court.
