SCHOOL RECORDS
ROLL OF FORMER PUPILS The problem of compiling a register of pupils who had attended the school was considered by the Hamilton High School Board of Governors at its monthly meeting yesterday. Mr F. A. de la Mare in a report said it was desirable that a complete record of former pupils, masters and Boards of Governors should be made and a properly indexed album of all school photographs obtained. The total cost of the flies and the cabinet to house the collection would be about £ls. The compilation of the records would entail considerable work as about 3000 pupils had passed through the school, but the 450 children attending at present would be able to provide their own records.
The chairman, Mr C. L. Mac Diarmid, said such a system would be very valuable as information concerning the school record of expupils could be quickly supplied from the reference flies should the need arise. The report was adopted.
