HOLLYWOOD WAITER
BECOMES FILM PLAYER NOT ASHAMED OF START Less than six months ago Cliff Danielson was a waiter at Ciro’s, in Hollywood. Now he is under contract at M.G.M. as a potential s#ir! The publicity people wanted to soft-pedal his former occupation. But Danielson would have none of it. “What’s there to be ashamed of in it?” he asked. “Everyone ordered the French dishes, and while I could get them out of the kitchen I never could remember who had ordered what! “If ever I get to be a star, and dine at Ciro’s, I’m going to order in English and give the waiter a break!”
November 4. The proceeds of this performance will go to the patriotic funds. “Red, White and Blue Revue” Rehearsals are well in hand for the “Red, White and Blue Revue” by pupils of Miss Mavis Laurenson. The revue with a company of 70, should prove very entertaining with its spectacular ballets, catchy songs and solo work.
