OBITUARY

MR F. W. THOMAS The death occurred today of a well-known Rotokauri resident, Mr Frederick William Thomas, at the age of 69 years. Mr Thomas was born at Ngaruawahia, but his parents moved to Rototuna when he was only a year old. In that district he resided for about 53 years before going to Rotokauri. Mr Thomas took a great interest in the activities of the Methodist Church. He had been a member of the Rototuna School Committee, a member of the Waikato County Council, chairman of the Rotokauri Dairy Factory Committee and vicepresident of the Sudan United Mission Committee. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss A. C. Campbell, and six children, Mr N. B. Thomas (Hamilton), Mesdames W. Raureti (Matatata), Cameron (Sudan United Mission), W. H. Dick (Stratford), Misses N. Thomas (Wellington) and W. Thomas (Hamilton). There are nine grandchildren.
