Copyright) (Received Sept. 27, 3.15 p.m.) VICHY, Sept. 26 It is officially announced that the French submarine Bevezers torpedoed His Majesty’s ship Resolution, which withdrew listing without firing. The Richelieu fired her 14in. guns, hitting His Majesty’s ship Barham. French planes shot down a British plane that was spotting for naval guns.
The British warships left Dakar at 5.30 p.m. on September 25.
