CHANNEL PORTS HIT SHELLING OF DOVER (Ofnclal Wireless) (Received Sent. 27. 3.15 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 26 Dover observers report tonight that the Royal Air Force is again conducting a vigorous bombardment of German-occupied Channel ports. Large fires are burning all along the French coast. Observers believe that the German gun emplacements at Cap Gris Nez are receiving particular attention. These guns shelled the Dover area for one hour this afternoon.

Two unoccupied cottages were destroyed and two casualties resulted from a shell burst.
