FREIGHTER SUNK
ORDEAL OF SURVIVORS DRIFTED FOR A FORTNIGHT (United Press Asn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) NEW YORK, Sept. 25 The survivors of a British freighter have landed at Barranquilla, in Venezuela. They reported that a German raider sank the ship off Trinidad on September 3, after which it machinegunned the lifeboats. The survivors drifted for a fortnight before being picked up by a tanker.
