STEADY DEMAND
JERSEY BULL SALE TE AWAMUTU VALUES (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU. Wednesday Steady competition was shown for Jersey bulls at the annual bull sale of the le Awainutu Jersey Club to-tlay when 95 entries were catalogued. The demand was hardly as animated as at previous bull fairs this season, but a good clearance was made at highly satisfactory values. Two entries brought the top money ot 50gns. This flgure was paid for an entry from Mrs M. E. 'haw, or Faterangl, and for one or the consignment rrom Messrs D. and J. S. Pattlson, or Te Awamutu. An entry rrom Mr R. J. Shaw, or Paierangi brought 4 9gns. Before the auction a show was held. Mr J. smith. Jnr., or Cambridge, being the Judge. Thirteen bulls were paraded in the yearling class and the awards were as follows: Mr E. Bennett’s Kotora Dark Fox (Tuhitarata Streamline—k'otara Foxglove), i ; Mr Hamilton Allen’s Alven Masterstroke (Tuhltarata Lordship—Alven Bride , 2; 1* and J. S. Pattlson’s Davaar Hard shot (Penrose Real Roy—Aiven Mermaid), 3. Two-year-olds: D. and J. S. Pattison's Davaar TTseount 'Penro-e Real Roy—Alven Mermaid . l; J. Mrlvor’s Dungannon Artist < Dungannon Masterful Dungannon Duchesa'. 2; A. D. Brough’s Doreen’s Sunlight (Laddie’s Achievement —Noreen’s Gem), 3. TlTere were twelve entries. The auctioneers were N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., Messrs Daigety and Co.. Ltd., and the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering C j , Ltd.
