SPREAD OF EUROPEAN WAR OPINION IN CHINA (United Press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 26, 3.15 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Sept. 25 The recent Axis conference at Rome revealed the increasing strength of Britain. It also indicated the spreading of the European war. According to the influential Chinese daily paper, the Takungpao, “Germany is suffering a setback in the war of Britain and therefore is anxious to extend the area of the war, and also strengthen the Axis. “On the other hand, as a result of closer Anglo-American co-operation, the strength of Britain is increasing daily.”
