According to the influential Chinese daily paper, the Takungpao, “Germany is suffering a setback in the war of Britain and therefore is anxious to extend the area of the war, and also strengthen the Axis. “On the other hand, as a result of closer Anglo-American co-operation, the strength of Britain is increasing daily.”
