Sept. 25 A communique states: The air force bombed a number of military targets at Dover, Folkestone. Ashford. Hastings. Newhaven, Brighton and Southhampton. Several successful air battles were fought. A merchantman was sunk and another merchantman set on fire off i the south-east coast of Ireland. Another was heavily damaged by a bomb off Northern Ireland. A speed-boat sank a merchantman ; off the south coast of England, i The air force carried out strong reprisals against London targets, also Liverpool and Cardiff docks. The enemy lost twenty planes. Four of ours are missing. Majors Moelders and Galland won ! their 40th air victories.
