SHOW SOCIETY

MORRINSVILLE FIXTURE MR AITKEN AGAIN PRESIDENT (Special to Time?) MORRINSVILLE, Thursday There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Agricultural and Pastoral Society. The president, Mr W. J. Aitken, presided. It was decided to devote any profits from the 1941 show, which will be held on Slturday, March 8, to patriotic purposes. The meeting also decided to make an immediate grant of £25 to the London Distress Fund. Major J. M. Allen and Mr W. S. Goosman were elected patrons, and Mr Aitken was re-elected president. The vice-presidents elected were Messrs H. K. Rendell and J. R. West. A general committee of 30 was elected.

The secretary, Mr A. A. French, was presented with a case of pipes as an appreciation of his four years’ service.

Reference was made to the death of Mr O. Glynn, an old member of the society.
