SPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Waikato-Thames Valley is as follows: General situation: A belt of high pressure extends rrom New South Wales to beyond the North Island, while disturbances are passing to the south. Forecast: Light to moderate south-westerly to westerly winds; some Isolated showers In the west but weather otherwise fair to fine and mild; seas moderate on the west coast, slight on the east.
