CHARGE AGAINST DRIVER SPEED LIMITS EXCEEDED A charge of driving a dangerouslyloaded vehicle was preferred against ’fhoiT' o '; Fro«t when he anneared before Mr S. L. Paterson. S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court. Hamilton, today. Frost pleaded guilty and was fined 10s. and costs. Traffic-Inspector A. E. Hodgson said that one side of the load appeared to be in danger of collapsing, and when Frost made a right-hand turn the whole load fell on to the road. On the vehicle Frost had six sacks of feed and 68 lettuce boxes, the whole being about l?ft. high. It was lashed with rope which was not verv strong. For exceeding 25 miles an hour in heavv motor vehicle® Bertram Allan Board end Norman Kemo were each fined £2 and costs, and a like penalty was imnosed on Elias Lowe, who was convicted of exceeding 25 miles an hour in the NgaruawaHa Bnrnn«rh. Also charged with exceeding 30 miles an hour, in proclaimed areas. Frederick Herbert Skipworth and Richard Casey were each fined £1 and costs. For failing to have a current warrant of fitness for his motor vehicle. Waiter Preston was fined 10s and costs, and Douglas McCorquindale was fined a like amount for failing U> produce a driver's license.
