CALL TO PRAYER
(To the Editor) Sir,—Great as this refugee disaster is, it brings to my mind a still greater need and a matter that seems to be greatly lacking in this town. That is the ringing of our cathedral or church bells for prayers on certain days of the week. It is a pity that our churches are not heading in a definite guidance for steadiness and for prayers for the guidance of our politicians. We all know that at this time it is greatly needed. We are promised guidance in these matters—and God can guide. Therefore let us eradicate all who are not loyal, and pray that our church** may lead the way in prayer by having the church bells rung on at least two days in the week as is done in other towns, and that our prayer* for guidance for England and her politicians, and for ourselves, may be answered.—l am. etc., LOYAL. Hamilton, September 21.
