DINNER PARTY
HAPPY TIME SPENT A very jolly dinner party was given by Mr and Mrs R. G. Griffin at their residence “Knighton,” Hamilton, on Saturday evening to a number of ’ young friends. The dining-room and lounge were artistically decorated with beautiful tulips, anemones and Iceland poppies. After dinner the guests were entertained at a picture party, this being followed by a buffet supper, ai which opportunity was taken by Sgt.-Major D. Cave to thank the host and hostess for a most enjoyable evening. The guests were received by Mrs Griffin, wearing floral ripple ninon, assisted by Miss Florence Griffin, wearing shell-pink linen lace, and Miss Dorothy Griffin wearing black lacc over taffeta. Those present were:—Mesdames A. Peers (Tauwhare), C. Totman (Tauwhare). Misses E. West, Edith de Ville, F. Frew, P. Oliver, Pat Guinness, Nan Griffin, L. Deacon, J. Peers, Norah Flynn, Jean Guinness, D. Mullins, B. Monk. Bobbie Griffin, Doreen Bishop, A. Hansen, Amy Barnett, Patrica Griffin, A. Lissette.
