ADEQUATE FOOD SUPPLY GOVERNMENT'S DETERMINATION (United Press Asn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 21 “The Government is determined that, come what may, an adequate supply of essential foodstuffs shall be available at prices which the poorer classes can afford,” said the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food, Mr R. J. Boothby, in a speech at Manchester. • We are already subsidising bread, meat and bacon to the tune of more than £1,000,000 a week.”
